Daryl H. Bushee

Daryl H. Bushee, Sr., age 62, of Taunton, passed away on December 27, 2018 at Morton Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Herbert and Elaine (Henault) Bushee.

Daryl  honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps, followed by the United States Army Reserve. He then proudly served his community for 27 years on the Taunton Fire Department retiring in 2014.

Daryl enjoyed camping on Cape Cod canal, family gatherings and events, and very much enjoyed cooking. He was a hard worker.

Daryl was extremely dedicated to his family and was always “first on the scene” to help out or be of support in anyway.  He had many skills and was extremely reliable; always willing and eager to assist with tasks related to moving, auto mechanics, and carpentry projects.

Daryl was modest in his speech but excelled in his actions. He was a great listener and known for his humility, patience, and generosity.

He is survived by his children; Daryl H. Bushee, Jr., Brittany Bushee and Shari Hernandez-Arce and her husband Sebastian, grandchildren; Alexis Canales, Anayzja Hernandez, Peyton and Javien Arce. He also leaves his siblings; Daryck Bushee and wife Cheryl, Drew Bushee and wife Anne, Diane Randazzo and husband Peter, Donna Dumont and husband Ronald, and Dorene McHugh and husband Michael. He also had many nieces and nephews who adored him.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm followed by a service at 5:00 pm in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square), Taunton.

A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held following services.
