David E. Levesque, age 75 of Taunton, passed away on December 23, 2024 at Morton Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Dave was the beloved husband of Ann (White) Levesque.
Dave was born in Taunton, the son of the late Alex Levesque and Helen (Cummings) Benson.
David was a 1967 graduate of Taunton High.
From 1969-1970 David proudly served his country with the Army as an E-5 Sgt during the Vietnam War. David was awarded with the National Defense Medal, Parachute Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, a good Conduct Medal and a Bronze Star.
Dave was a founding member of the ( TAVVA) Taunton Area Vietnam Veterans Association.
Before his retirement in 2018, David was employed with Phoenix Inc, of Seekonk as an inspector. He also previously worked with Bacon Felt for over 31 years.
David was a long-time member of the Taunton Rifle & Pistol Club and was also an avid collector of military insignia.
In his younger years, Dave enjoyed many adventure trips with his two traveling friends.
After marring his wife Ann over 29 years ago, David and Ann enjoyed traveling throughout New England as well as visiting friends and relatives near and far.
Besides his beloved wife Ann of over 29 years, David is survived by a sister Sheila Levesque and many nieces and nephews.
David’s funeral will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10am with a funeral service to begin at 11am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment with full military honors will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery located on Glebe Street, Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
