David A. Wirth, 64, of Taunton passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2020, surrounded by his family following an extended illness.

He was the husband of Deborah Lee (Washburn) Wirth. Born in Boston, MA, son of the late Edward and Genevieve (Kulbacki) Wirth.

David was a commercial truck tire technician for many years by occupation... but a proud Marine by heart. He enjoyed playing cards, telling jokes, playing pool, fishing, singing karaoke and occasionally breaking out the harmonica. He was also an avid sports fan.

Besides his wife, survivors include his sons, Marty Washburn and his wife Tammy of Fall River, Kevin Wirth of Fall River, and Jonathan Wirth and his wife Kaitlin of Marion; a daughter, Sherica Goldstein and her husband Paul of Fall River; brothers, Robert Wirth and Charles Wirth, both of Taunton; grandchildren, David, Ava, Joseph and Molly; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Joseph Wirth from Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, September 14th, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, at 11am, where a prayer service will take place at 11:30am. Committal service where Military Honors will be rendered will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. (Those wishing to join in the procession should be at the funeral home by 12pm)

Social distancing will be observed at the funeral home and cemetery — facial coverings are required.
