Debbie Butts (Debra Ann Amaral Bradbury Butts), age 72, a lifelong resident of Taunton, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was a loving and devoted wife for 37 years to Michael W. Butts.
In addition to her husband, Debbie is survived by: her children, Sean Bradbury, Rachel Bradbury and Kerrin LeClair (husband Ron); her stepson Michael Butts; her six grandchildren, Casey, Kyleigh, Makayla, Bradley, Jameson and Zoe; her siblings, Diane Santos (husband Ace), Keith Amaral and Eric Amaral (wife Trisha); as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.
Born in Taunton, Debbie was one of four children of the late James C. and Amelia (Machado) Amaral. She grew up in Taunton and graduated as a member of the Class of 1970 from Taunton High School.
Debbie worked for nearly 35 years as a cashier for Trucchi’s Supermarket on Tremont Street in Taunton and always greeted everyone with a smile.
Debbie was kind, patient, generous, warm, loving and so strong. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Debbie loved her family and her dogs more than anything else. She loved music of all genres, taking care of her plants and watching Red Sox games. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, cooking, real estate, landscaping and animals.
Her friendly demeanor and irresistible laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
Services for Debbie will be held privately.
