TAUNTON - Diamantina Furtado, wife of the late Joseph Furtado, died at Longmeadow of Taunton Nursing Center on Sept. 25th at the age of 89.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria Isabel (Pacheco) Furtado.
After moving to this area 40 years ago she worked as a packer in area plastics factories for 12 years, before retiring at the age of 62.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Her funeral was held on Thursday, Oct. 2nd from the Silva Funeral Home, Taunton, followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's Church.
