TAUNTON- Dianne L. (Thielker) Mason, 77, of Taunton, passed away surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her dear family in the evening hours of Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton. She was the devoted wife for 54 years to the love of her life, Richard R. Mason, of Taunton.
Born in Taunton, Dianne was one of five children born to the late Alvin F. and Thelma (Patterson) Thielker. She grew up in Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School.
For over 35 years Dianne and Richard resided on Winthrop Street in Taunton, where they raised their family. Having a knack and passion for cooking, Dianne worked within walking distance from her home, at Papa Gino’s where she was employed as a Prep Cook.
A kind and caring woman, in her spare time, Dianne enjoyed knitting articles for those less fortunate than her family. She was a movie buff and truly loved to cook, often encouraging visitors in her home to sit down and eat! Above all, Dianne was most happy when she was in the presence of and making memories with her treasured family, especially her grandchildren, who were truly a blessing in her life.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, Dianne is survived by her two cherished sons: Robert J. Mason and his wife Lisa of Reva, VA and Samuel A. Mason and his wife Julie of East Freetown; her 5 doting grandchildren: Blake, Nicholas, Jordan (Rosie), Finnley, and Ryland; her siblings: Valerie A. Thielker and Robert Thielker and his wife Diane; her sister-in-law: June Thielker; and also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dianne is preceded in passing by her late siblings: Frederick Thielker and Patricia Greene.
