Domingos DaRocha, 72, of East Taunton, passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, November 5th, 2017.
He was the husband of Cristina (Gomes) DaRocha, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.
Born in Agualva, Terceira, Azores, son of the late Jose C. and Francisca (Andrade) DaRocha. He served in the Portuguese Army for two years before emigrating to the U.S. where he led a long career in manufacturing.
Besides he wife, Domingos is survived by his daughters, Cristina Maria DaRocha and her fiancé, Jose Alves of Taunton, Susan Marie Farley and her husband Dwayne of Taunton, and Elizabeth Richards and her husband Benjamin of East Taunton; siblings, Anna Marie Soares of East Taunton, Jose Fernandes Rocha of Florida, Josefa Maria Inacio, Rosa Andrade Nogueira, Lucia Fatima Gomes and Francisco Albert DaRocha, all of Taunton; grandchildren, Dylan, Arianna, Ryan, Tahlia and Myles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also brother of the late Ana Maria Fernandes DaRocha.
Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, with Mass to follow in Holy Family Church at 10:00am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday from 5-8pm.
