Donald R. Pine, Sr., age 85 of Raynham, formally of Middleboro, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Life Care Center of Raynham.
Born in Taunton, MA on September 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Manuel and Catherine (O’Connell) Pine.
He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (Hartford) Pine.
He graduated from Taunton High School in 1955 and continued his education at Berklee College of Music. Shortly after graduating, Don accepted a teaching position at the Wrentham State School. He retired at age 65 and went on to teach drums and piano at various music stores.
Don loved to travel and was lucky to have visited many foreign destinations including Iceland, Rome, and Madeira. Portugal to name a few.
Don and Nancy sold their home in Mansfield and moved to Oak Point in Middleboro in 1999 where they both acquired many friends.
Donald is survived by his daughter Linda Lizotte and her husband Peter, brother; William Pine and his wife Carol, grandchildren; Heather Rannacher, Courtney Pouliot, Steffen Sostre, Amber Pine, great-grandchildren; Jaxon, Madeleine, Christiano, Celina, Ciana and Brentley. He was the father of the late Donald R. Pine, Jr., Laurie Ann Pine and the brother of the late Charles Pine.
A celebration of Donald’s life will be held on a later date.
