Donna (Rogers) Medeiros, age 72 of Taunton, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2019 at Boston Medical Center.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Medeiros.
Donna was born in Taunton , a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Rogers. Before retiring, Mrs. Medeiros was employed by Bloom Bus Co. as a bus driver for over 25 years who so many of Taunton’s former students fondly remember her. She then was employed by Taunton State Hospital as a patient care assistant. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She loved going out to eat, shopping and bingo. Donna and her family enjoyed camping on the beach at Race Point when they were younger. One of her favorite activities was dog training Sadie, her bernese mountain dog, as a pet therapy dog.
Mrs. Medeiros is survived by her loving son Joseph R. Medeiros and his wife Julie of Dighton, grandmother of Jordan, Jamie and Josh. Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 4 to 6pm. A service will begin at 6pm. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
Interment will be privately held on Saturday, October 19th in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
