Doris M. (Johnson) DeMoranville, age 83, of Berkley, passed away at Morton Hospital surrounded by her family on January 15, 2024.
She was the wife of the late Ronald L. DeMoranville.
Born in Stoughton, Doris was the daughter of the late Arthur S. and Mae (Bridgwood) Johnson.
Before retiring, Mrs. DeMoranville was employed with Taunton State Hospital for 33 years. She was also the Sunday School Superintendent at the Berkley Congregational Church for many years, where she treasured time with the children and taught them the Lord.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crafts, making the best chocolate candy, spending time with her grandchildren, shopping QVC, watching Wheel of Fortune, and dining out with friends. She was an active member of the Berkley Congregational Church and took great pleasure in attending services. She also relished spending time at her childhood home in North Falmouth, where she spent time with family and friends.
Doris is survived by her loving daughter, Terri-Lynn Clondas, her husband, James of Taunton, and her cherished grandchildren, Kristie-Lee Giunta and Lily Mae Clondas. She was also the sister of the late Barbara H. Cole, Kenneth S. Johnson, and Howard L. Johnson.
Her funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 9 am, with a funeral service to begin at 10 am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will be held privately at the Thompson Hill Cemetery, Lakeville.
