TAUNTON - Dorothy A. "Dot" (Silva) Botelho, longtime Taunton resident, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on July 9, 2014.
She was 98 years old.
Born, raised and educated in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Mary (Joseph) Silva.
Mrs. Botelho was employed for many years by the former Red Coach Grill, Herring Run, Lewis Lodge and Bonnie Brook restaurants as a waitress and later retired from Taunton State Hospital.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
In her spare time, she enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, cruising and dining out.
Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia A. Tolley of Taunton; four grandchildren, Gregory C. Tolley, Jr., Diane Young, Sharon Lopes and Lisa O'Neal; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Everett H. Botelho and Diane Marie Botelho; the former wife of the late Everett E. Botelho; and the sister of the late Henry, Arthur, and Alfred Silva, Lenora DaCosta, Julia Higginson and Mary Enos.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family and share memories at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Aug. 6th from 6 to 8 p.m.
