Edith M. (Adams) Lawrence

Edith M. (Adams) Lawrence of Dighton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026 at Marion Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was 77 years of age.

Edith was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Lawrence who passed in 2014.

Born in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Priscilla (Grout) Adams.

Edith loved her family deeply and dedicated her life to them. Nothing brought her more joy than her children and grandchildren, and she was always there for them with love, support, and encouragement. 

Her faith was the center of her life. A devout Christian, she dedicated herself to serving the Lord and caring for others, always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or be there for someone in need. She was a member of Women's Aglow, and her calling led her on several mission trips to Israel, a reflection of her deep commitment to her faith and to serving others.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely. She touched many lives, and her family and friends always knew they could turn to her.

Edith is survived by her three children: her son Greg Logan and his wife Ronda; her daughter, Barbara Lawrence; and her son Joseph M. Lawrence and his wife, Robin, all of Dighton. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, James Logan, Ava Lawrence, Elise Lawrence, Molly Motes and Roderick Motes, great-grandmother of 5. Sister of Robert Adams, George Adams and Nancy Tavares. Edith was also the sister of the late David Adams.

She will be deeply missed, but the love she gave and the faith she lived by will continue in all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 9am with a service to begin at 11am in Dighton Community Church 2036 Elm Street, Dighton MA 02715

Interment will follow in Dighton Community Cemetery.
