Edith Louisa (Cromwell) Johnson, age 70, passed away on May 5, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.
She was the beloved wife of William James Norman.
Edith was born in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Harold H. Cromwell and the late Hilda (Grace) Greene.
Before retirement, Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Bentley College for Accounting, and began her professional career as an accountant. She later found great joy as a professional baker, and was employed with Shaw’s Supermarket as a baker for over 19 years. When not at work, she enjoyed bicycling, nature hikes, and maintaining her garden.
Besides her beloved husband William of over 40 years, she is survived by her loving children, Bryon and Michelle Johnson, her extended family with her husband William Norman, and grandchildren Jonathan, Matthew, Ryan, and Christopher. She was the sister of Tina Slavick of Taunton, Robin Greene of Providence, Harold Cromwell of Longmeadow, MA and John Cromwell of New Britain, CT, and sister of the late Wayne Cromwell and Robert Greene.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4 to 7pm with a funeral service beginning at 6:30 pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the Funeral Home.)
Her burial will be held privately.
