It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Dighton resident, Edmund Braga, age 85. He passed away on February 25, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife Elaine ( Pine) Braga.
Born in Fall River MA, he was the son of the late Joseph Braga and Elvira (Andrade) Furtado.
One of Edward’s greatest pleasures was spending time with his family. He built go-carts, race cars and many toys for his children. He taught them all to drive at a very young age. He also enjoyed doing is Elvis impersonations for many years entertaining residents of nursing homes and other shows. Ed enjoyed travelling and visiting all the states. He was known for his dancing at the sandbar and local car shows with the Villianare’s and loved going to old car shows. He was full of fun, always quick with the witty jokes keeping everyone laughing.
Ed was always known as a hard working and devoted family man. His smile and kindness will surely be missed.
Besides is beloved wife Elaine of 65 years, he is survived by his daughters; Sharon Vieira, Lori Braga- McCloud, sons; Jeff Braga, Todd Braga, grandchildren; Chad Braga, Albert Arocho, Jennifer Travers, Evan Braga, Julie Braga, and many great-grandchildren. Edmund was the father of the late Veronica Braga- McGuire.
Service and burial will be held privately.
