Edmund C. Mello, Jr. age 76 of Taunton, passed away at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Linda (Carvarlho) Mello.

Born in Fall River, Edmund was the son of the late Edmund Mello Sr. and Julia (Rodericks) Deltoro.

Before his disability, Mr. Mello was employed as a welder at The Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station and Quincy Shipyard for several years.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending church and trips to the casino.

Besides his beloved wife Linda of over 57 years, he is survived by his loving sons, Keith Mello of No. Attleboro, Edmund Mello, III of Dorchester, Dustin Mello of RI and Brandon Mello of Pittsfield, MA; his sister-in-laws, Julie Mello and Carol Rego; his grandchildren Mikayla, Mariah, Dustin Jr., Ashley, Abbie, Benjamin, Madelyn, and Lila.

In addition to his nephews and nieces, he was also the brother of the late Leonard Mello and Mary Furtado.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 10 am in Saint Jude the Apostle Church 249 Whittenton Street in Taunton.

His burial will be held privately.

Arrangements are with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.
