Edmundo F. Correia, 76, of Raynham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 17th, 2018.
He was the husband of Isabel (Baptista) Correia, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Agua D'Alto, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Francisco and Maria (Pacheco) Correia.
A veteran of the Portuguese Army, Edmundo and his family lived in Bermuda for 14 years before moving to Raynham. He worked in maintenance for the City of Taunton at the Taunton Nursing Home for many years.
Edmundo's greatest joy in life was spending time with, supporting and embracing his family.
Besides his wife, Edmundo is survived by his sons, Robert Correia, Richard Correia and Mark Correia, all of Taunton; his siblings, Antonio DaSilva and his wife Cidalia, of Middleboro, Natalia Carroca and her husband Mariano, Maria Travassos and her husband Manuel, and Maria Correia, all of Taunton; his sister-in-law, Madelena DaSilva of Fall River; His beloved granddaughter, Candice Nichole Correia; and several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Jose Pacheco DaSilva.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd, at 10:00am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, with Mass to follow in St. Anthony Church at 11:30am. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling Hours on Monday from 5-8pm.
