Eleanor (DeMoura) Fernandes, age 86 of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Taunton Nursing Home.
She was the former wife of the late John Fernandes.
Eleanor was born in Central Falls, RI, and daughter of the late Alfred and Irene (Andrade) DeMoura.
She was a 1948 Graduate of Taunton High, a member of Portuguese-American Civic Club, Weir Seniors and the Oakland Seniors.
Before retirement, Mrs. Fernandes was employed with Reed & Barton as a sales representative for many years, and previously employed with De Beers Jewelry Co.
Eleanor is survived by one son, Wayne Fernandes of Taunton.
Her funeral with visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
