Eleanor (Chase) Pinheiro, age 94 of Taunton, passed away at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin Pinheiro.
Born in Taunton, MA, she was the daughter of the late David and Lillian (McGuire) Chase.
Before retiring, Mrs. Pinheiro was employed with Reed & Barton as an Executive Secretary for many years.
Eleanor was a woman of deep faith, kindness, and quiet strength. She was devoted to her family and found great joy in hosting holidays, cooking traditional meals, and creating a warm, welcoming home where everyone felt loved. Known for her gracious spirit, she had a way of making those around her feel special and cared for. Her resilience and generosity touched many lives, and her legacy will live on in the values she instilled in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her loving daughter Donna Pereira, grandson; Christopher E. Pinheiro and wife Briana, great-grandchildren; Paxton, Bodhi, Maverick and daughter-in-law Rosemarie Pinheiro. She was the mother of the late David Pinheiro and Joanne Pinheiro and sister of the late Lee Perry and Lois Newhall.
Eleanor’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2025 at 8am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Annunciation of the Lord Church First Street, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
