Elizabeth A. (Costa) Welsh

Elizabeth A. (Costa) Welsh, age 63 of Westboro and formerly of Taunton, passed away on June 21, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of Allan Welsh.

Elizabeth “Betty Ann” was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Laurentino “Larry”  and Elizabeth (Ferreira) Costa.

Mrs. Welsh was employed as a Research Chemist with the USARMY DEVCOM SC. She was very knowledgeable with her chosen profession and worked with many different departments within the Army base. Additionally she provided outside contractor technical support as required. Betty Ann was always willing to help anyone in need and go the extra mile. In earlier years, Betty Ann enjoyed bowling, going to the beach, and Disney World. She enjoyed taking day trips and cherished time spent with her family.

Besides her beloved husband Allan of over 29 years, she is survived by her loving son John Welsh. She is also survived by a sister Susanne Duquette of Taunton and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Betty Ann was funny, warm, and kind. Genuinely a selfless loving person who will be missed dearly.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 2 to 5pm with a funeral service beginning at 5 pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 29th at 10 am in Saint Joseph Cemetery  475 E. Britannia Street, Taunton MA 02780.

Relatives and friends may meet at the main gate of the cemetery at 9:45am.
