Emily Marie Wilbur, age 15, of Raynham, MA, passed away on August 25, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved daughter of Sherry Psota-Wilbur and Keith Wilbur.

Emily was passionate about water coloring, music, creating makeup tutorials, sleepovers with friends and learning how to fish and ride dirt bikes with her brother Joshua, cheerleading, and she participated in several competitions while receiving numerous awards. She was also an avid reader and a huge Harry Potter fan. Even while undergoing chemotherapy treatments, she served in an assistant coaching position. Her strength and spirit were an inspiration to her teammates.

Emily was also known for her positive social media presence and spreading awareness about the honest parts of living with osteosarcoma.

Emily was beginning her sophomore year at B-P High School, where she studied biotechnology to eventually become a forensic scientist; she wanted to help find a cure for osteosarcoma and eventually assist with female criminal cases. Emily and Hazel (her dog) were inseparable; it was love at first sight. Hazel was Emily's emotional support.

She was a young girl with an old soul, and her wisdom was far beyond her years. She taught so many about compassion, forgiveness, kindness, and loving one another. Her smile and laughter were infectious to everyone. Emily was our North Star—bright, beautiful, and leading people in a positive direction. When a star burns out, we see its light for many decades afterward. Her light will never fade...

She fought like a warrior. Emily’s faith in God and Jesus Christ was paramount! Even while facing her own struggles, Emily was always the friend that everyone could count on. When Emily was your friend, she was your friend for life. She will be greatly missed by all. Our family is very thankful to everyone for their love and support during Emily's battle with cancer. She will be truly missed and always in our hearts. We didn't say goodbye; we said, "I'll see you later," as we know Emily will be at Heaven's gate to meet us when our time comes. We are going to miss our beautiful daughter and can't wait to see you again in Heaven. We love you, baby girl!

Along with her parents, she is survived by her brother, Joshua Wilbur; maternal "Papa" George Palhete; paternal distant grandmother Cindy Benson; Aunt Cindy Healey; and Uncles Robert Psota, Edward Healey, Kevin, and Kenneth Wilbur; as well as loving cousins Alex, Cyntheanna, Ellarie, and Grayson, and several great-aunts and great-uncles. She was preceded in death by her most loving grandmother, Nancy Palhete.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Emily’s memory to the Osteosarcoma Institute, 3963 Maple Avenue, Suite 390, Dallas, TX 75219, would be deeply appreciated.
