Ermelinda C. (Machado) Pimentel

Ermelinda C. Pimentel (Machado) 86, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her home. She was the wife of the late Vincent C. Pimentel.

Born in Santa Maria, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel M. Leonardo and Justina A. Machado.

She worked at Modern Plastics for 20 years before retiring. Prior to that, she worked at Wilshire Lighting in Taunton as an assembler.

Ermelinda enjoyed watching television, crocheting, the water, and spending time with her loving family. She loved being together with those she loved.

Mrs. Pimentel leaves her children, Ann M. Chaves, of Taunton, Tony M. Pimental, and his wife, Heather, of Douglas, Edward G. Pimental, and his wife Kathy, of Onset, and Vincent Pimental, Jr., of Taunton; 8 grandchildren, Lindsey Chaves, Ciara Pimental, Edward Pimental, Jr., Josh Pimental, Tony Pimental, Jr., Taylor Pimental, Kaleigh Pimental, and Jacob Pimental; and two great grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Pimental. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings.

Her funeral with visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Annunciation of the Lord Church, 31 First Street, Taunton.

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be required during all services.
