Eurico Soares, age 76 of Bridgewater and formerly of Taunton, passed away on October 25, 2020.
He was the beloved husband of Augusta (Delgardo) Soares.
Mr. Soares was born in Brava Cape Verde, the son of the late Manuel and Maria Cecilia (Rocha) Soares.
Before retirement, Eurico was employed as a agricultural technician.
He was a member of the Taunton Eagle’s. Mr. Soares enjoyed playing cards and doing yard work. He would help anyone in need. Most of all he was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family. He will be missed by many.
Besides his beloved wife Augusta of 50 years, he is survived by his loving children; Carlos Soares of Bridgewater and Katia Soares of Taunton. He was the grandfather of Kattye Soares and Dominck Soares and brother of Robert Soares of Bridgewater, Maria Fatima Soares of Pawtucket, Benilda Soares of Italy, Teresa Soares of Cape Verde, Anna Soares and Maria Soares both of Sweden.
Eurico’s funeral will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 8:30 am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29th from 4 to 7pm.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
