Evangeline (Leite) Benoit, age 91 of Taunton, passed away on March 1, 2018 at the Taunton Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.
Evangeline was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late James and Evangeline (Pimental) Leite.
Before retirement, Mrs. Benoit was employed with the Taunton State Hospital as a mental Health worker. She enjoyed the beach and being with her family.
Evangeline was the loving mother of Brenda Bianchi and husband Robert of Taunton, sister of Mary Medeiros of Taunton, Madeline Coelho of Raynham, grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 13. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Evangeline was also the mother of the late Gary Benoit and sister of the late Rose Perry, Florence Bowers and the late Alice Cazemiro.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 3 to 5pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, a Service will begin at 5pm. Her burial will be privately held.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
