Evelyn (Paige) Correia, age 99, passed away on February 3, 2023 with her loving family by her side just 5 days shy of her 100th birthday.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Correia.
Born in Taunton, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Manuel and Jessie (Alves) Paige.
Mrs. Correia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting and painting.
Almost everything she made she donated to a worthy cause.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Joseph Correia and his wife Joyce of Berkley, William Correia and his life partner Christopher Osborn of Lakeville, Paul Correia and his wife Julie of Raynham, Lynne Leaver and her husband George of Middleboro, Mary Hathaway and her husband Mark of North Dighton, Martha Murray and her husband Walter, Robert Correia and his wife Mary, and John Correia and his wife Holly all of Bridgewater. She had 15 grandchildren, Peter, Chris and Craig Murray, Joseph, Michael, Chelsea and Angela Correia, Stephen and John Hathaway, Robert and Corey Leaver, Tara Brady, Alison Dossman, Jesse Karsner, and Jamie Webster. 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Evelyn was the sister of Edna Fernandes of Raynham, Lorraine Correia of Burlington and was also the sister of the late Margaret Silva and the late Edwin Paige. She was the sister-in-law to the late Mary Fraga, Lionel Correia and Patricia Barker. She was the aunt to 20 beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Correia’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am from Saint Ann Church, Raynham. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
