Evelyn (Leca) Enos, age 91 of Taunton, passed away on March 3, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest “Lefty” E. Enos.
Evelyn was born in Taunton, the beloved daughter of the late Joseph F. and Helen (Medeiros) Leca.
Before retiring, Mrs. Enos was employed with Reed & Barton Co. (payroll Dept), Leca’s Café, New England Comptometer Services (Office Manager), Wheaton College Book Store (Store Manager), Taunton Public School Administration (Telephone Receptionist.) She was a 1948 graduate of Taunton High.
Evelyn was a member of Taunton West Little League (concession stand operator), St Anthony’s School Mother’s Club, Coyle Cassidy Mother’s Club, THS Class of 1948 Reunion Committee, as well as many other charitable organizations. She enjoyed long car rides throughout New England especially Cape Cod, trips to the casino to watch Lefty play the slots, many lunches & dinners at Home Plate Restaurant where they were treated like family and card games with her grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children; four sons and their wives, Gary and Margaret Enos, Glen Enos, Greg and Renee Enos and Gill and Lisa Enos all of Taunton.
Her beloved Grandchildren, Evan, Jaclyn, Benjamin, Derek, Brett, Holly and Dylan Enos and Great Grandson Carson. She was the sister of the late Francis J. Leca.
Evelyn’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 10am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square.) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 4 to 7 pm. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
