Fernanda (Andrade) Fagundes, age 80 of Taunton, passed away on September 29, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Fagundes who passed in 1990.
Fernanda was born in Agualva Terceira, Azores, a daughter of the late Joaquim and Francisca (Cota) Andrade.
Before retirement, Fernanda was employed with Swank Manufacturing Co in Both Taunton and Attleboro for many years. She was a communicant of Saint Anthony Church, loved going out for dinner, loved shopping, and cherished time spent with her family especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She was kind, loving, and devoted to her family.
Fernanda is survived by her loving children, Margarida Silva and husband Mario, Alda Tavares and husband Joao, and Fernanda Lima and husband Joao all of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Jennifer, Tabitha, Savannah, Patrick, Ethan, Marcie, Nathan, great-grandmother of Leilani and Myah. She was also the sister of Lucia Dinis, Beatriz Feliciano, Rosa Gomes, Guadalupe Ribeiro, Dilia Andrade all of Taunton, Joaquim Andrade and Teresa Tavares both of Canada. Fernanda was also the sister of the late Joao Andrade and the late Gabriela Pimentel.
Fernanda’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 8 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
