Florence Rose (Demerse) Lacombe

Florence R. LaCombe, 89, of Raynham, formerly of Taunton, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Rayham. She was the wife of the late Robert LaCombe, Sr.

Born in East Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Armond and Georgiana (Sterns) DeMerse.

She worked as an assembly worker at Swank for several years before raising her loving family.

Florence loved Elvis and the New England Patriots.

She leaves her seven children, Susan DeMello, Annette Sylvia, Robert LaCombe, Laurie LaCombe, Lynda LaCombe, Steven LaCombe, Alan LaCombe, and Brian LaCombe; four siblings, Armond DeMerse, Henry DeMerse, Robert DeMerse, and Fabiola Cardoza; sixteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lacombe was the sister of the late Fred DeMerse and Teresa Mendez.

Her funeral with visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in the Holy Family Church, 372 Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton.  Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be required during all services.
