Frances (Botelho) Lema, the wife of the late Frank A. Lema, died at Morton Hospital on June 27, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.
She was 89.
Born in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Botelho.
A homemaker for much of her adult life, Mrs. Lema was a communicant of Holy Family Church, and enjoyed traveling and eating out.
Survivors include 6 sons, Frank A. Lema, Jr. of FL, James R. Lema of Sagamore Beach, David R. Lema of Middleboro, Richard Lema of FL, Daniel E. Lema of Lakeville and Edward Lema of E. Taunton; 5 daughters, Mary Tavares of Pocasset, Marjorie Corazzini of Taunton, Lorraine Krueger and Lillian Rocha, both of FL and Patricia Ferris of Blackstone, MA; a brother, Joseph Pavao of Fall River; a close friend, Albert Alegi of East Taunton; 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, the late Kristen Lema, and her daughter-in-law, the late Nina Lema.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Tuesday, June 30th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 29th from 5 to 8 p.m.
