TAUNTON - Francis J. Freelove, 81, died unexpectedly at Tufts - New England Medical Center, Boston on January 13, 2009.
He was the husband of Anna (Costa) Freelove to whom he was married for over 58 years.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Hale C. and Beatrice (DesMarais) Freelove, he was educated in Taunton schools after moving here with his family at the age of 5.
A U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, and member of the Dewitt Clinton Masonic Lodge of Sandwich, he was also a life member of the Bay State Beagle Club.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Besides his wife of Taunton, he leaves 2 sons, Jeffrey A. Freelove of Berkley and Randy F. Freelove of Taunton; a daughter, Sandra DeCarli of Reno, NV; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Edward Freelove.
Calling Hours will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Monday, Jan. 19th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Private Committal Services will be held at the MA National VA Cemetery, in Bourne.
