Frank G. Cannizzaro, age 83 of Taunton, passed away on September 28, 2024 at Morton Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Frank was born in Brockton, the son of the late Giovanni and Frances (Fameli) Cannizzaro.
He was the beloved husband of Therese (Halle) Cannizzaro. Besides his beloved wife Therese of over 15 years, his is survived by his children, Nancy, Jane, Frank, and his late daughter Sandy. He also has several step children, including Barry Weiner of Boston, Ryan Filkins of New Bedford and Rachel Sanchez of Attleboro. And is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of John Cannizzaro of Las Vegas, Michael Cannizzaro of Florida, Rosalie Linscott of Foxboro and Ann Powers of Easton.
Frank took much pride in his work and spent most of his time doing so, but before retiring was often referred to as “The Greeter” at Morton Hospital for many years. During retirement he enjoyed yard work and many outdoor activities to help his neighbors. He very much loved his time on cruises, trips to Las Vegas, and loved taking spontaneous day trips, often ending up at the ocean. He enjoyed relaxing days playing his numbers and time spent with his youngest grandson.

Frank would give anybody the shirt off his back, would always offer advice, and was always around to help a friend. Please pass on an act of kindness in loving memory of Frank G. Cannizzaro.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2pm with a service to begin at 4pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) Taunton.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
His burial will be held privately.
