RAYNHAM - Frank N. Pelleteri, husband of the late Mary B. (Notario) Pelleteri, died peacefully at his Raynham home on July 6, 2011.
He was 82.
Born, raised, and educated in Garfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Scaglione) Pelleteri.
He was a graduate of the NJ Institute of Technology, where he received a BS degree in chemical engineering.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Pelleteri moved to Raynham in 2000, after residing in Norfolk, MA since 1972.
He was employed as a sales and division manager for Texaco Inc., later working as the chief operating officer for the Garrity Oil Co. in Boston.
He was also the director of sales with the Casey Petroleum Co. of Needham.
He retired at age 65, and than went to work with his son in his business until he was 81.
A longtime member of the Norfolk Lions Club, Mr. Pelleteri served as the MA District Governor of Lions in 1989, and also served on several Lions Club committees.
A fitness enthusiast and avid swimmer, he enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and cooking.
His favorite pastime was enjoying the company of his family.
Survivors include his son, Michael F. Pelleteri, his wife Carol, and their children, Beth, Tony and Frank, all of Raynham.
He was also brother of the late Catherine Aloia.
Calling Hours will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, July 13th from 5 to 8 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
