Gary J. Benoit

Gary Benoit, husband of Anastasia G. (Tsiganovkina) Benoit, died at the V.A. Medical Center in Richmond Virginia on April 25, 2009.
He was 56.
A former resident of Taunton, MA he resided in East Hampton, VA for the past 4 years.
Born in Inglewood, CA, he was the son of Evangeline (Leite) Benoit of Dighton, MA and the late Roland Benoit.
Educated in Taunton, MA schools, he later served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
A welder by trade, Mr. Benoit more recently owned and operated a hot dog cart at Bukroe Beach in VA.
A former of communicant of St. Mary's Church in Taunton, he enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a son, Christopher Benoit of Burlington, VT; 3 daughters, Jessica Bettencourt of Hampton, VA, Sarah Benoit of Fall River, MA, Rebecca Benoit of Springfield, VT; a brother, Scott Benoit of Taunton, MA; a sister, Brenda Bianchi of Taunton, MA; 2 grandchildren, Jacob Bettencourt of Hampton, VA and Makayla Kingsbury of Springfield, VT; 2 aunts; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, at St. Mary's Square Taunton, MA on Monday, May 4th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's Church, Taunton, MA at 11 a.m.
Committal Services with Military Honors are scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Massachusetts National VA Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m.
