Genevieve Andrade

Genevieve (DeCosta) Andrade, age 95, of Taunton, passed away on February 21, 2018 at Wedgemere Health Care of Taunton with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Andrade.

Genevieve was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Jeal and Alma (Hebert) DeCosta.

Before retirement, Mrs. Andrade co-owned and operated the former Tremont Barber Shop for over 29 years.  She enjoyed traveling, going out for dinner and spending time with her family.

Genevieve was the loving mother of James S. Andrade, Sr  and his wife Valerie of Taunton, grandmother of James Andrade , Jr and wife Lucy and Jonathan Andrade, great-grandmother of Ava and Luke. She was also the sister of the late Helen Cordeiro.

Mrs. Andrade’s funeral services will be privately held with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to; The  American Kidney Foundation in Mrs. Andrade’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
