Geraldine (Lewis) Menard

Geraldine (Lewis) Menard, age 84 of Taunton, passed away on December 24, 2017 at Longmeadow of Taunton.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Menard.

Geraldine was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late John and Emily(Wager)  Lewis.

Before retirement, Mrs. Menard was a waitress with her family business, the former Lewis Lodge in Taunton. Geraldine enjoyed working in her yard, was an avid golfer and a member of the Segregansett Country Club. She enjoyed playing cards but most of all was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family.

She was the loving mother of Robert F. Menard of Swansea  and Sharon Olson of Raynham, sister of Mildred Sullivan, grandmother of James Olson and Jennifer Nadeau, great-grandmother of Tyler, Hailey and Jacob. Geraldine was also the mother of the late James Menard, sister of the late Richard, Walter and John Lewis, Margaret Powers and the late Florence Harris.

Mrs. Menard’s funeral will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 8:30 am in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, a funeral service will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 27th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.

(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
