Germano Cardoso

Germano Cardoso, age 77 of Taunton, passed away on July 5, 2026 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Luisa (Moniz)Cardoso.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Aurelio and Maria(Vieira) Cardoso.

Before retiring, Mr. Cardoso was employed as a baker with Dunkin Donuts.

Germano served in the Portuguese Army. He enjoyed working with his hand, gardening, carpentry and he also loved collecting clocks.

Besides his beloved wife Luisa, he is survived by his loving daughters, Nelia Cardoso of Fall River and Jessica DeCambra of Middleboro. He was the grandfather of Tristin, Samantha, Jaxon, Lily, Xavier, Eli, Avery and Payton. Mr. Cardoso was also the brother of Thomas Cardoso of Portugal and Ines Serodio of Taunton.

Germano’s funeral will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 9 th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
