Gilbert F. DeMello, age 91 passed away on December 16, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Tavares) DeMello.
Gilbert was born in Taunton, the son of the late Antone and Deolinda (Furtado) DeMello.
Before retiring, Mr. DeMello was employed with Reed & Barton for many years.
He was a member of the PACC, he enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and loved watching NE sports.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and friends.
Mr. DeMello was the brother of the late Donald, Adelino and Aires DeMello, Aldinha Teixeira and the late Evelyn Messier.
Gilbert’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
