WARRICK, RI - Gilbert F. Enos, age 78, of Warwick, RI, formerly of Quinwood, WV and Taunton, MA passed away peacefully Jan. 12th at the Kent Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warwick, RI.
He was born in Taunton, MA on August 11, 1933, the son of the late Francis and Anna (Ventura) Enos.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Enos was employed by the MA Highway Department from 1970 until 2000, and also bartended at the Leca Café in Taunton.
He was married to his late wife, Vivian (Burchell) Enos on Nov. 23, 1957.
A member of Taunton's VFW Post 611, Gilbert enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing cards.
Survivors include a son, Gilbert F. Enos, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Venice, FL; two daughters, Deborah Gonsalves of Clearwater, FL, and Sandra J. Matonis and her husband Shane of Warwick; three brothers, Richard, Francis and David Enos, all of Taunton; a sister, Margaret Martinez of Taunton; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Gilbert's family will greet relatives and friends at Silva funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Jan. 18th from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
A Prayer Service will take place at 12 noon.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
