Helen (Lopes) Simmons, age 82 of Dighton, passed away on July 23, 2021 at Nemasket Healthcare Center.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leo R. Simmons.
Helen was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Justin and Lucille (Roderick) Lopes.
Helen worked for Texas Instruments as a manufacturing assembler and tech.
Hobbies included…spending precious time w/ her granddaughter Kylee, spending time w/ her dogs Lily and JJ, afternoon drinks with her friends, feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard, watching TV and doing crossword puzzles, weekly shopping and hairdresser visits and cooking her favorite recipes for family and friends.
She is survived by her sons; Bruce Simmons, Matthew Simmons and wife Amy and Brian Simmons, granddaughter; Kylee Simmons. She was the sister of the late Charles Lopes.
Helen’s funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 9:00am to 11:00am, with a funeral home service to begin at 11:00am in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
