Herman C. Camara, Sr., age 81of Swansea, passed away on January 15, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Pauline B. (Andreozzi) Camara.
Born in Warren, Herman was the son of the late John P. and Hilda (Ferreira) Camara.
Herman was the owner of Camara’s Auction Sales of Swansea for almost 50 years.
He was a former director of the Rehoboth Fair, Herman was very involved in the 4-H Club and the past president of the Eastern Draft Horse Assoc.
He enjoyed trips to PA, Ohio and all New England country fairs. Mr. Camara was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family especially his cherished granddaughter Joelle.
Besides his beloved wife Pauline of over 59 years, he is survived by a loving son, Bruce Camara and his wife Michelle of Swansea, grandfather of Joelle Camara. Brother of William Camara of Swansea.
Mr. Camara was also the father of the late Herman C. Camara, Jr. who passed in 2018 and the late Christine Marie Camara, brother of the late Gill Camara and John Camara.
Funeral services were held privately with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.
