EAST TAUNTON- Idelta (Fagundes) Inacio, age 58, of Taunton, passed away on the morning of Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home, surrounded by the love, comfort and care of her two children. She was the devoted wife to the late Jose G. Inacio, who passed away on February 13, 2019.
Born in Agualva, Terceira, Azores, she was one of three children born to the late Francisco L. and Francisca A. (Barbosa) Fagundes. She grew up in the Azores and met her husband in her youth as they were next-door neighbors.
A hardworking woman who took pride in a job well done, Idelta worked as an Assembler for Electrochem Solutions.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and shopping. Above all she most cherished the time spent and memories made with her children.
Idelta is survived by her cherished and devoted children: Steven and Melissa Inacio, both of East Taunton; her siblings: Fatima Carvalho of Terceira, Azores and Frank Fagundes of Fresno, CA; and also several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her siblings: Delia Silva and Manuel Fagundes.
Idelta’s Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of her soul, will be held on Friday , May 3, 2024 at 9am in St. Anthony Church, 126 School St., Taunton. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Anthony Church and park in the lot behind the church. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, E Britannia St., Taunton.
