Ingram F. “Bing” Byrne, age 78 of Taunton, passed away on January 12, 2024 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home with his loving family by his side after a long, courageous battle with dementia.

He was the loving husband of Barbara (Florence) Rezendes for 22 years. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late James and Ethel (Banks) Byrne. He was the brother of Shirley O’Neil of California, and the late James Byrne. He was the former husband of the late Dottie Byrne.

Bing grew up in Raynham before moving to Taunton and graduating from Coyle High School in 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, serving until honorably discharged in 1971. He worked for many years as a union electrician in the IBEW. His true passion was selling real estate, which he did for over 40 years, until his illness forced him to retire. Bing was an active member of The Taunton Lodge of Elks since 2009. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and traveling, but most of all, spending time with his family and attending all of his grandchildren’s events.

Besides his wife Barbara, Bing is survived by his daughters, Kristen DiMarzio-Garcia and her husband Gary of Berkley, Kelley Pereira and her husband Rick of Taunton; grandchildren, Derek and Aubrey DiMarzio, Ally and Kayleigh Pereira, Evan, Tonie, Cameron and Candace Garcia. Also survived by his stepson, Michael Rezendes and his wife Melissa and their children, Chelsey and Michael Rezendes. He also leaves behind many friends and extended family.

Bing’s funeral will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 9:00 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a funeral home service to begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 18th from 4-7pm. (additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
