Irene Allain

Irene Allain, age 79, of Taunton, passed away on January 16, 2026 at Morton Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Allain.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Leorina (Richards) Greenlaw.

Before retiring, Irene was a caretaker to her mother-in-law for many years.

She enjoyed playing Keno, going out to lunch to visit with her many friends. She also loved playing cards with her daughter Lisa and spending time with her grand-dogs Izzie Bella and Murphy Nugget.

Irene is survived by her daughter Lisa MacIntosh and husband Scott, siblings; Stella Greenlaw and wife Diane O’Leary, Allen Greenlaw and wife Cindy, Richard Greenlaw, Mark Greenlaw and wife Jill Greenlaw and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Tricia Allain and sister of the late Edward Greenlaw.

Services and burial will be held privately.
