Irene (Schiller) Grupillion, wife of the late Waldemar Grupillion, died at Longmeadow of Taunton on April 28, 2009.
She was 92.
Born and raised in Russia, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Bochanski) Schiller.
Educated in Russian schools, she moved to the U.S. in 1946.
Mrs. Grupillion was a former member of the Russian Orthodox Church of Epiphany in Boston.
She worked for many years as a stitcher for the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, before retiring many years ago.
Survivors include a son, George Grupillion and his wife, Katie, of Pembroke; a daughter, Irene E. "Betty" George and her husband, Michael, of Raynham; 6 grandchildren, Courtney Bickel, Danielle Trucchi, Brandon George, and Jason, Jared and Ashley Grupillion; 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan Trucchi and Rylie Bickel; and a nephew, Henry Schiller of Germany.
She was also the sister of the late Alfred Schiller.
Her funeral is private at the convenience of the family.
