Irene Murray

EAST TAUNTON - Irene B. (Racine) Murray, wife of Nick L. Murray, died on Friday, Sept. 19th at Morton Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 60.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Lucy F. Racine.
Educated in Taunton schools, she graduated from Taunton High School in 1967 and later attended Cape Cod Community College.
She worked as a computer assistant in the Taunton school system for over 24 years, retiring in June of this year.
She enjoyed working with children in the classrooms, and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Besides her husband, she leaves 2 sons, Jason B. Murray and his wife Valerie and Kevin J. Murray and his wife Erin, all of Taunton; a brother, Paul D. Racine of St. Petersburg, FL; 3 sisters, Lucille Sposini of Raynham, Denise Bussiere of Attleboro and Claudette Posca of N. Dighton; a granddaughter, Gabrielle Murray of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday Sept. 25th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Wednesday 5-8 PM.
