Izaura Hazel (Andrade) Martin

BERKLEY - Izaura Hazel (Andrade) Martin, wife of the late Anthony Martin, Sr., died at her Berkley home on Aug. 28, 2009.
She was 91.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Carmen (Macedo) Andrade.
Educated in New Bedford schools, she was later employed by Taunton State Hospital as a nurse's aide.
Subsequently, Mrs. Martin spent many years working the family farm, Martin & Sons, with her husband and children.
She retired many years ago.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, and member of the parish Women's Guild, Mrs. Martin was also a youth education volunteer, and a member of the Berkley Happy Hearts.
Survivors include four sons, Anthony Martin, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Randolph, VT, Manuel Martin and his wife Joan of Taunton, John M. Martin and his wife Priscilla of Chesapeake, VA, and Richard Martin, Sr. and his wife Patricia of Berkley; a daughter, Carmen M. Martin of Berkley; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Hilda Soares.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Tuesday, Sept. 1st at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 31st from 5 to 8 p.m.
