Izidra Odete (Melo) Vieira, age 86 of Taunton, went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2022. Izidra was a faithfully woman who loved the Lord, her family and many friends.
Izidra was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the beloved daughter of the late Joaquim and Olivia (Fernandes) Melo.
Before retiring, Mrs. Vieira was employed at Chadwick’s of Boston in Taunton for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her youngest grandchildren, Allison Melo, David Melo and Jayden Bernardo.
Izidra is survived by her loving children; Ivone Bernardo and husband John of Taunton, Decio Melo and wife Maria of Taunton and Maria Marguarida Soares of Portugal. She was also the beloved mother of the late Manuel Antonio Soares and the late Ana Maria Soares.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 9am with a funeral service beginning at 11am in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
