TAUNTON - Jaime R. Pedro, husband of 42 years to Maria (Resendes) Pedro, died at Morton Hospital Medical Center on September 6, 2016.
He was 66.
He was the son of the late Joao and Maria (Moniz) Pedro.
He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores and moved to this area at the age of 25.
He served in the Portuguese Army and worked in the hotel industry while living in the Azores.
Jamie was employed as a factory worker for Swank and Reed and Barton before retiring in 2006.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, he loved soccer and was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Kelly Cook of Taunton, and Andrea Medeiros of Dartmouth; three grandchildren, Adam Cook, Ethan Medeiros and Isaac Medeiros; several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Joao Rodrigues and Antonio Rodrigues.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway,Taunton, on Monday September 12th at 9 a.m. followed by his funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 11th from 4 - 7 p.m.
