TAUNTON - James "Jimmy" "Twinnie" Fontes, 80, of Taunton, passed away peacefully after a recent decline in health, on Oct. 27, 2014.
Born in Taunton, he was the twin son of the late Manuel and Mary (Lopes) Fontes.
For the past 40 years, James and his twin brother, John, worked side by side, offering the highest quality floor refinishing to both commercial and residential properties all around Massachusetts.
James leaves his loving wife, Henrietta (Gonsalves) Fontes; daughter, Jodi A. Fontes-DeMattia, Jr.; sister, Margaret "Nina" Rose; and twin, John Fontes, all of Taunton; many, nieces, nephews, cousins and a great number of friends.
He was predeceased by sisters, Alice Fontes and Mary Louise Montrond, and brother, Manuel "Sonny" Fontes.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Nov. 3rd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m.
