James David Rose, age 84 of Swansea, passed away at his residence on February 25, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Joan (Marston) Rose who passed in 2020.
David was born in Taunton, the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Rose) Rose.
Before retiring in 1997, Mr. Rose was employed with Texas Instruments as an Engineer for over 40 years.
He enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, watching sports, coaching little league, casinos and fishing. Most of all David cherished spending time with all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David is survived by his loving children; Darlene Silvia, George Rose and Paul Rose all of FL. He was the grandfather and great-grandfather of many including Eric McMackin and wife Corrie and Briana Spencer with whom he resided. He was also the brother of Francis Rose of Dighton the late Mary (Rose) Terra, the late Evelyn (Rose) Terry both of Taunton, the late John Rose of FL, and the late Edwin Rose of Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 28,2022 at 4pm followed by a funeral service at 7pm in The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will be held privately.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.
