Our beloved James Patrick Smith (Jimmy) passed away on December 25, 2024 unexpectedly at the age of 35. Jimmy was born in Stoughton on May 5, 1989 and raised in Bridgewater by his doting mother. He graduated from Bridgewater Raynham High School and went on to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Bridgewater State College.
Jimmy was a man of many interests who found his muse in drawing, painting and writing poetry. He was an avid reader since he was old enough to understand the words on the page making him extremely knowledgeable in every subject.
Jimmy is survived by his loving mother, Jill Raphael-Johnson (husband Nate Johnson) of Taunton, MA, little sister Erika Gourdin (boyfriend Chris Ryan), of Troy, NY, father figure Mark Gourdin of Bridgewater, MA, grandparents Janet Prodouz of Bridgewater, MA and Raymond Raphael of West Wareham, MA, uncle Al Smith (wife Debbie Smith and daughter Jordyn Smith) of Raynham, MA and best friend Jim Smith of Martha’s Vineyard. Jimmy was a passionate and proud dog father to his sweet rescue Pitbull, Dopey, who he loved dearly.
Since his passing, we have faith that Jimmy is rejoined with his cousin and life long best friend, Christopher Thrasher, who passed away August 1, 2017.
All services will be private for family.
